Aidan comes to us from MPC, one of the UK's longest-established VFX and animation houses, where he worked as a rigger, and from Factory 42, an immersive and television content production studio based at Somerset House on the Strand.
Aidan takes over teaching the short course and MA in Character and Creature Creation from Michael Davies, who first developed the course content.
Industry Experience
Factory 42 specialises in virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality, creating "unique multi-sensory experiences for broadcasters, brands, destinations and artists."
Character & Creature Creation Short Course and MA
Aidan will be teaching the 12 week course in Character & Creature Creation - first launched in September 2021 - in which students learn to design, model, and rig their own original characters. The industry opportunity we target is a Junior Character Artist at a Games, Animation or VFX house.

While at Escape Studios, Aidan worked on many award-winning films. He produced "Joe", which won Best Genre Film at the Heroes Film Fest, as well as the "Director's Choice" award at the Sci-On film festival and a "Four Stars Award" at the British International Amateur Film Festival.
Aidan Lonergan also produced and edited the short film "Over Under", which won "Most Fabulous Animation" at the Animafantasia Film Festival.
