Gary Carse and Daniel Waterman |
Daniel explained to our students, who are studying the business of animation, about the functioning of development funds, capital funds, and tax credits, with practical examples on how to access them.
Daniel also discussed his own first iteration at business and how it evolved over time, his approach to managing growth, and how to find a niche in the animation industry.
CR7004 Business Module
Our 4th year MArt students are studying for CR7004, a business module, the first module of the integrated MArt, in which students organise themselves in groups to devise a viable business plan and pitch their idea to investors. Following the pitch, the next step is to turn their business proposal into reality.

Industry engagement
Industry engagement is at the heart of what we do at Escape Studios. We are fortunate to have a central London location at 190 High Holborn, making it easy to invite guests from animation and vfx houses in Soho and elsewhere in London, to talk to our students.
Industry engagement is one of the five pillars of what we call the Escape Method: a blend of intensive classroom teaching, online tutorials, constructive feedback, industry engagement, and studio projects.

The Escape Studios Animation Blog offers a personal view on the art of animation and visual effects. To find out more about our new BA/MArt, now recruiting for September 2019, follow this link. To apply, visit the offical page here.
