Maria Casanueva |
Maria took our 12 week animation short course at Escape Studios and from there joined the Technicolour MPC Academy, on the strength of her strong demo reel and a follow-up interview, and soon found work as an animation artist at MPC in Canada.
There was a small delay while visas were sorted out, but now she is well on her way to a successful career at one of the world's leading animation & VFX houses.
MPC Academy
MPC/Technicolor Academy is an educational programme designed to train up entry level for the animation and VFX industry. MPC offer students and graduates 12-month paid contracts, which consist of 12 weeks' training followed by 9 months of working on a show.
Demo reel and interview
Maria applied to MPC/Technicolor online with her showreel, a cover letter and a copy of her CV. Shortly after, she was contacted by a member of MPC's HR Dept, and they arranged a Skype interview with the head of the Academy and one of the senior trainers.
To see some of Maria's animation, check out her impressive demo reel above.
