Student Showcase and party at Rich Mix |
The event featured a third year graduation showcase and a second year project presentation; the team were joined by a number of industry partners, so the students were able to show off their work to experts from industry, with a chance to network afterwards and exchange contact details.

End of Year Graduate ShowcaseThis year we had our first group of Year 3 students completing their final term, our first animation graduates being launched into the industry. To make a special event of it, we rented a full cinema screen at the Rich Mix Arts Centre in Shoreditch, invited a boatload of industry guests, and organised an Escape style party where the 3rd Year students got to present their projects in front of an audience and answer their questions.
Among the films shown were "JerichO", which has been shortlisted for a student BAFTA, and "Home Sweet Home" which won best animation at the British Animation Film Festival.
Second Year Showcase
There was also an opportunity to showcase the Year 2 projects. For our second year undergraduates, this was a chance to show their work, and an opportunity to meet recruiters from industry, and talk about opportunities for summer internships.
Throughout the event, we were thrilled to see the enthusiastic reception from industry for the excellent work done by all our students. We are very proud of all of them and we wish them all the best luck as they start their careers in the animation, games and VFX industries.
