Learn from the man who rigged Smaug |
Mike's rigging credits are pretty impressive: he rigged Smaug (for The Hobbit) and also The Minions for the Illumination-McGuff studio.
You’ll learn all the basics of rigging in Autodesk Maya (an understanding of Maya basics will be helpful) and what character riggers do in the animation and VFX industry.
It's all about how characters and creatures get put together. Rigging is the art and craft of taking a 3D model and making a skeleton structure that makes it work, so that animators can breathe life into it and create a performance.
Like all of our courses at Escape Studios, this course is designed, developed and delivered by industry professionals.
