Many congratulations to Emily Lim-Sarrias, who has recently been offered a place at the MPC Academy in Montreal, on the strength of her demo reel above. Emily has just completed her second year of studies as an undergraduate student on our 3D animation course, and will soon be heading to Canada to work for one of the world's largest and most successful animation and VFX companies.
What is MPC Academy? MPC Academy is an educational programme designed to train up entry level for the animation and VFX industry. MPC offer students and graduates 12-month paid contracts, which consist of 12 weeks' training followed by 9 months of working on a show.
Emily applied to MPC online with her showreel, a cover letter and a copy of her CV. Shortly after, she was contacted by a member of MPC's HR Dept, and they arranged a Skype interview with the head of the Academy and one of the senior trainers.
