The Deadline to submit a feature film project to Cartoon Movie is 25 November 2016. If your project gets selected, you will be able to pitch it to almost 1,000 animation and industry professionals from forty countries.
Present at Cartoon Movie will be around 200 buyers, including 120 distributors & sales agents.
But why should animation students want to pitch their feature film ideas? Because we think all our students should aim high - you could be the next Walt Disney or Jeffrey Katzenberg. Most of all...you'll never find out if you don't try.

It is a pitching & co-production forum for animated feature films. There are two days of pitching sessions, 60 projects to be presented in 4 categories:
- In Concept
- In Development
- In Production or
- Completed Film
How do you submit a project?
First, you must prepare all the required elements as listed on the website. This includes all the usual suspects. Some artwork, a synopsis (ideally a script, but it's not vital), and a statement of what your film will be all about.
Stop! No need to speak French! |
But all I have is an idea...is that enough?
Yes it is. Since you are likely pitching your idea "in Concept", this means you only really need a great idea, plus a little development. If you can get some nice stills cut together, or even a bit of animation, so much the better.
I can't go - I don't speak French
It doesn't matter! The conference is bi-lingual, you can pitch in English, and anyway there are translators everywhere.
