Part-Time Animation Starts 19th February

Our part-time evening class in animation is back, starting on 19th February at our High Holborn campus.

The class is taught by veteran animator Karin Mattsson, who is also our newest animation tutor.

Karin has worked on many Hollywood animation and visual effects blockbusters such as Transformers, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, John Carter, Clash of the Titans and The Chronicles of Narnia.

Study 3D Animation Part-time
3D Animation is a part-time evening class, running for 8 weeks from 7-10 pm at our High Holborn campus. The class will run two nights a week, Mondays and Wednesdays.

Tutor
Karin Mattson, who is currently working at Cinesite in London, and has worked at many studios prior to that.

She has also worked on many animated commercials, in particular for Passion Pictures.

3D Animation Evening Class

When and Where
This is a Part-time evening class, running for 8 weeks from 7-10 pm at our High Holborn campus. Two nights a week, Mondays and Wednesdays. Address: 190 High Holborn, London, WC1V 7BH

Module 1 – Locomotion & Mechanics
Week 1: General introduction to Maya – Animation Basics
Week 2: Animation Locomotion – walks and character walks
Week 3: Advanced locomotion - runs, hops, jumps and skips
Week 4: Animation mechanics – physical actions

Module 2 – Character & Creature Animation
Week 5: Introduction to Character Animation
Week 6: Character Animation - building and blocking a shot; parenting and constraints
Week 7: Animal locomotion, trots walks and runs
Week 8: Demo Reel, website or blog; jobs & careers
